The Golfer's Dictionary

Entries

U.S.G.A

The American version of the R&A, it consists of 4 letters because they have to go one better.

Umbrella

For the most part, the only other long stick shaped object commonly found in a golf bag that is as useless at putting the ball in the hole as the putter is.

Up & Down

The art of putting the ball the in the hole in 2 two shots from off the green. This is quite a hard achievement for the majority of golfer's who tend to go up, across, next to, and around the hole before the ball drops in.
