Burnley Golf Club

Burnley probably ranks amongst the top five favourite courses for most golfers who are connected to the East Lancashire Golf Association Fair. Known locally as 'Glen View', this challenging course stands on the fringe of the Habergham Eaves moors which overlook Burnley from the road towards Rawtenstall. It is a course that makes excellent use of the rolling countryside and offers a true test to golfers of every standard. There are four par threes and one par five for a total of 69, but when the wind blows several of the par four holes play more like par fives - you've been warned. Glen View has a number of nominees for the toughest hole buy the fifth, with out of bounds all the way down one side and a river all the way across the fairway, is the winner.
