Hole

The term "hole" is used in several different contexts, some of which are:

  • The home of the ball described in the addressing and intial shot setup (see addressing)
  • To putt the ball in the hole ... "I holed my putt for a 4 ... whoops I mean 12"
  • One of the 18 targets on a course ... "On that hole I had a sweet drive (into the trees) followed by an awesome approach shot (into a bunker) and 2 putts (maybe 6)"
